Working with Beyond Children’s Special Needs Fund, a pilot project was produced to make kids with rare syndromes into their heroes. The purpose of the project was to see the kids for who they were rather than being defined by their illness. Even though the kids couldn’t communicate their thoughts vocally, they communicated through their body language and emotions.
A video was produced to document the process and provide an insight into the work involved. This project would not have been possible without the help of an amazing team. It’s hoped that the pilot project will be extended with the support of larger organisations out there who specialise in helping children with special needs.
